About the role

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll design and implement robust backend architectures using Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot. Your work spans microservices, cloud-native solutions, and event-driven systems that operate at scale. You’ll help shape backend strategy, contribute to architectural decisions, and lead others by example.

Whether it’s integrating complex business logic, improving CI/CD pipelines, or mentoring developers, your impact will be felt in mission-critical environments across aviation, e-commerce, fintech, and beyond.

What kind of projects can you expect?

You’ll work on backend engineering challenges that power enterprise innovation. Examples include:

• Designing scalable backend systems using Java/Kotlin in Spring Boot ecosystems.

• Developing secure APIs and microservices architectures for high-volume applications.

• Building event-driven systems using Kafka and modern messaging infrastructures.

• Architecting and deploying cloud-native solutions using Azure (App Services, Key Vault, Blob Storage).

• Migrating legacy platforms to modern containerized and cloud environments.

• Driving Infrastructure as Code implementations using Terraform or ARM templates.

You’ll collaborate with cloud engineers, solution architects, and business stakeholders to align technology with impact.

Technical Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a backend engineer, with a strong focus on Java and Kotlin.

• Expertise in Spring Boot and the broader Java ecosystem.

• Strong experience with Azure (App Services, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Azure SQL, etc.); AWS/GCP are a plus.

• Familiarity with event-driven systems using Kafka.

• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or ARM templates).

• Experienced with CI/CD practices and SDLC automation.

• Proven ability to lead engineering efforts and foster a collaborative team environment.

• Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.

• Familiar with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
