Ciklum is looking for a Senior JavaScript Engineer to join our team in Argentina.

About the role:
As a Senior JavaScript Engineer, you will work within a distributed team across LATAM and US time zones to engineer highly accessible, performance-driven web interfaces, as well as help build, govern, and scale an enterprise-wide design system.
Responsibilities:
Build & Maintain UI Libraries: Engineer, govern, and evolve a unified enterprise design system powering digital code platforms, learning management systems, mobile/hybrid interfaces, and compliance portals
Technical Ownership: Drive front-end strategy, component architecture, tooling, and governance to ensure consistency across multiple public and internal web applications
Accessibility & Performance: Enforce strict adherence to WCAG 2.2 AA standards, semantic HTML, ARIA patterns, keyboard navigation, and Core Web Vitals optimization
Stakeholder Sync & Design Alignment: Collaborate in real-time with US-based Product Managers, UX Designers, and Architects to translate complex workflows into reusable UI components
Governance & Tooling: Manage semantic versioning of UI packages, write technical documentation, handle breaking changes, and automate UI testing pipelines
Mentorship & Excellence: Mentor mid-level engineers on modern JavaScript/TypeScript patterns, testing methodologies, and web component design
Requirements:

Software Design:
Experience in designing solution architectures for enterprise design systems, design tokens, and web component design
Uses established standards and algorithms for translating complex technical workflows into UI components and maintaining semantic versioning
Software development:
Proficient in native JavaScript, TypeScript, semantic HTML5, and CSS3 (CSS Modules, Styled Components, Tailwind CSS, Sass)
Practical use of advanced features in React (Hooks, Context, State Management, SSR/Next.js) and Web Components
Experience in refactoring existing applications according to accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA) and performance requirements
Bonus: Experience building cross-platform web/mobile components using Ionic Framework
Quality Assurance:
Hands-on experience with testing approaches and tools (Storybook, Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, visual regression tools)
Ability to adjust and maintain code quality rules, accessibility testing (NVDA/JAWS/VoiceOver), and Core Web Vitals metrics
Software Deployment:
Experience in configuring CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) and build tools (Vite/Webpack)
Collaborates with the DevOps team to set up continuous delivery workflows
