Senior Mendix Developer — Sustainability Platform
Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands (Hybrid) Hours: 32–40 hours per week Language: English (C1+) — Dutch not required. No VISA sponsorship possible.
Our client builds the ESG platform that enterprises use to track, reduce, and report their environmental impact — carbon, water, waste, supply chain, and regulatory disclosure — across industries from construction to finance.
They're a small team (7 in NL), no hierarchy, a lot of ownership. Fast-moving and deliberately low on structure — you'll help shape that as they grow. One week you're building a platform module; the next you're demoing to an enterprise client. It's a product-led company that's commercially focused, so you'll see your work land with real customers. An AI lead is joining now — there's real opportunity to shape how AI enters the platform from the start.

What you'll work on
- Development and maintenance of a modular, multi-app sustainability platform
- Customer-facing implementations across carbon management, ESG disclosure (including CSRD), supply chain transparency, and water & waste stewardship
- App template builds and custom application development
- Integration of AI capabilities into Mendix solutions
- Demoing the platform to prospective and existing customers
What our client is looking for
Required:
- Minimum 3 years of Mendix development experience, preferably customer-facing
- Mendix Advanced certification (Expert preferred)
- Ability to take a leading role in customer projects and internal initiatives
- C1+ English — Dutch not required
- Eligible to work in the Netherlands
- Available to work at least 32 hours per week
- An interest in sustainability
A plus:
- Experience or knowledge in the ESG / sustainability domain
- Experience integrating AI into Mendix solutions
