We are seeking a talented Senior Python Developer to join our team.
In this role, you will contribute to designing and implementing data technology solutions that support key business functions. You will work in a collaborative environment, leveraging modern tools and technologies to deliver high-quality and scalable solutions for complex challenges.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver investment data technology solutions to support Research, Portfolio Management, Trading, Analytics, and Reporting functions
- Design, build, test, and implement data technology solutions with a focus on both quality and efficiency
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and project managers to define user stories, estimates, and work plans
- Operate independently and provide advice to business clients and IT management on technology capabilities and strategies to maximize value
- Identify, design, and optimize data pipelines across all stages, including ingestion, validation, integration, storage, and delivery
- Write unit and integration tests, contribute to internal engineering documentation, and create detailed technical documentation
- Build high-performance, scalable tools for transferring datasets between endpoints while meeting SLA requirements
- Ensure data consistency, refresh rates, and caching requirements across various interfaces to maintain data accuracy and reliability
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines and develop supportable solutions while participating in code and design reviews
- Provide technical troubleshooting and support for production systems to ensure smooth operations
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- At least 3 years of experience as a Python Developer with a proven track record of delivering reliable solutions
- Proficiency in Ansible for automation and configuration management
- Experience with Apache Kafka for distributed event streaming
- Knowledge of Elastic Stack for logging and analytics
- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL database management
- Familiarity with RabbitMQ for message queuing
- Experience working within both Agile/Scrum and waterfall methodologies, with a focus on software development and integration
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken, at a B2 level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with Docker for containerization and deployment
- Familiarity with OAuth2 for secure authentication and authorization
- Knowledge of Okta for identity and access management
- Understanding of Redis for in-memory data structure storage
