Senior Python Developer

Global Financial Firm located in
Mississauga, ON
has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced
Senior Python Developer .
This role is currently on a Hybrid Schedule. You will need to have reliable internet, a computer and an Android or iPhone for remote access to the client systems during remote work. We will be expected in the office weekly 3 days depending on the team requirement.
Video/f2f interviews are required prior to all offers.
Job Description Senior Python developer for a critical data‑driven application.
Responsibilities
Python, SQL and web development in the data analytics and web application development environment.
Taking ownership of the application, code development tasks, testing and production release activities.
Troubleshooting and bug fixes to be performed on priority.
Resolving web application security vulnerabilities.
Adherence to the mandatory SDLC requirements and the processes being followed for the various stages of the project lifecycle.
Research and develop proof of concept code for business requirements and developing the overall solution for production.
Training and mentoring within the team.
Qualifications
8+ years of relevant experience.
Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience.
Experience working in Banking or Financial Services would be a plus.
Team Player and Excellent communication skills.
