Senior Python Developer

Global Financial Firm located in Mississauga, ON has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Senior Python Developer .

This role is currently on a Hybrid Schedule. You will need to have reliable internet, a computer and an Android or iPhone for remote access to the client systems during remote work. We will be expected in the office weekly 3 days depending on the team requirement.

Video/f2f interviews are required prior to all offers.

Job Description

Senior Python developer for a critical data‑driven application.

Responsibilities

• Python, SQL and web development in the data analytics and web application development environment.
• Taking ownership of the application, code development tasks, testing and production release activities.
• Troubleshooting and bug fixes to be performed on priority.
• Resolving web application security vulnerabilities.
• Adherence to the mandatory SDLC requirements and the processes being followed for the various stages of the project lifecycle.
• Research and develop proof of concept code for business requirements and developing the overall solution for production.
• Training and mentoring within the team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience working in Banking or Financial Services would be a plus.
• Team Player and Excellent communication skills.
