We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Engineer to join our distributed engineering team. In this role, you will work closely with our client's internal squads to design, build, and optimize scalable cloud-based media solutions.
This is a collaborative, embedded role requiring a self-starter who excels at solving complex workflow challenges, designing resilient integrations, and driving efficiency. The ideal candidate brings a strong software engineering foundation combined with deep domain knowledge in media supply chains and cloud infrastructure (AWS).

Responsibilities
+ Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend services and APIs using Python and Django
+ Build and optimize media processing workflows, ensuring seamless handling of ingest, transcoding, packaging, and distribution
+ Architect and manage cloud services on AWS, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability
+ Design and optimize database schemas and queries using PostgreSQL
+ Work hand-in-hand with distributed client engineering squads, actively participating in stand-ups, architecture reviews, and collaborative problem-solving
+ Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and workflow challenges, implementing automation to streamline operations and reduce manual workloads
Requirements
+ Advanced, production-level experience building backend applications
+ Strong hands-on experience leveraging AWS cloud infrastructure for application deployment and data storage
+ Solid experience with relational database design, query optimization, and performance tuning
+ Solid, demonstrable experience working within media environments. You must have a strong understanding of media processing workflows (handling audio, video, captions, and images) along with ingestion and transcoding processes
+ Proven ability to work seamlessly in fully remote or distributed team models, collaborating directly with client engineers across different time zones
+ A proactive approach to taking initiative, resolving complex technical challenges, and delivering high-quality code with minimal supervision
Nice to have
+ Direct, practical experience implementing, operating, or configuring SDVI solutions within a media supply chain is a significant plus
+ Deeper subject matter expertise in modern media technologies, including recent SDVI features (such as AI-driven workflows), onboarding new partners, or supporting large-scale media ingestion
