We're looking for a highly skilled SQL Developer to join a high-impact financial services project supporting multiple business units across South Africa and Africa.
This is an opportunity to work on a large-scale, business-critical programme involving complex accounting, procurement, and pre-payment approval processes across multiple systems. The project requires an experienced SQL specialist who can quickly understand complex business logic, analyse existing solutions, and build scalable, high-performing SQL solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimise, and maintain complex SQL solutions and stored procedures.
- Analyse and interpret detailed business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
- Review and understand existing SQL code and business logic.
- Rebuild, optimise, and stabilise SQL components where required.
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Support the acceleration of a large, business-critical programme operating under tight delivery timelines.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience as a SQL Developer.
- Advanced SQL Server and T-SQL development skills.
- Extensive experience developing and optimising complex stored procedures.
- Strong understanding of relational database design and performance tuning.
- Experience analysing existing code and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ability to work independently in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Experience within the banking or financial services sector.
- Experience working on large-scale enterprise integration projects.
