Licensing Requirements:Valid Food Handlers CertificationValid Alcohol Service Certification Duties & Responsibilities:Welcome and greet guests, ensuring they feel comfortable and receive attentive, personalized serviceInform guests of specials, menu items, ingredients, and menu changesMake guest focused recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoyAnswer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and servicesTake food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in our point-of-sale systemDeliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely mannerConduct age verification for alcoholic service following ABC requirements and Company procedures at all timesManage guest liquor consumption effectively and in accordance with ABC requirements and Company procedures Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requestsPerform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignmentMaintain clean service areasPrepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable)Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations ariseBe ready and willing to assist busser with clearing and resetting tablesThank guests for their visit and invite them to returnBe available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or director Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Strong customer service and hospitality skillsKnowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specialsAbility to make menu recommendations and answer guest questionsProficiency in basic math, with the ability to accurately handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions while operating a point of sale (POS) systemAbility to multitask and work efficiently in a fast paced environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfactionTeam oriented with a willingness to assist coworkers as neededQualificationsQualifications:Minimum 18 years of ageMust possess strong customer service and interpersonal skillsMinimum one year experience as a serverMust possess strong customer service and interpersonal skillsBasic knowledge of dining room operations and service proceduresMust be authorized to work in the U.S. Work Environment / Physical Demands:Expected to keep work location a safe and healthy work environment.
