Purpose of the Role:
To ensure smooth and efficient execution of knitting production activities by maintaining adequate manpower allocation, monitoring machine performance and production flow, coordinating with planning, maintenance, and quality teams, and ensuring uninterrupted production while meeting productivity, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manpower & Shop Floor Management
Ensure adequate manpower availability and proper man-to-machine allocation as per the approved SOP. Coordinate with jobbers to ensure smooth execution of production activities. Conduct regular shop floor rounds to monitor overall production activities. Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the production area.2. Production Monitoring & Execution
Monitor machine RPM and ensure yarn availability for all running machines. Guide operators in executing upcoming machine changeovers efficiently. Monitor the progress of running production programs to ensure uninterrupted production. Ensure smooth production flow while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards.3. Production Planning Coordination
Coordinate with the Production Planner regarding upcoming production orders. Discuss production priorities, urgent orders, and production shortfalls with the planning team. Verify yarn availability for upcoming production programs before execution.4. Machine Maintenance Coordination
Coordinate continuously with fitters and electricians to ensure timely resolution of machine breakdowns. Support maintenance activities to minimize machine downtime and maintain production continuity.5. Quality Coordination
Work closely with the Quality Control (QC) Officer to make decisions related to grey fabric quality and disposition. Support adherence to quality requirements throughout the production process.Key Skills and Competencies Required:

Educational Background: Diploma in Textile Technology, Knitting Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience: 3–5 years of experience in Knitting Production, preferably in a textile manufacturing environment.
