NTT DATA is seeking a highly skilled Software Applications Development Engineer to design, build, modernize, and optimize cloud-native applications and platforms for enterprise customers. This role combines software engineering, cloud architecture, Dev Ops, AI-driven application development, and infrastructure automation to deliver scalable and secure solutions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

The ideal candidate is passionate about cloud technologies, modern application development, platform engineering, and leveraging AI services to accelerate business outcomes. While AWS is our primary cloud platform, experience across multiple cloud providers is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities Cloud-Native Application Development Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using modern software engineering practices. Build scalable backend services and APIs using Type Script, Node.js, Python, and other modern programming languages. Develop responsive web applications using React and modern front-end frameworks. Design and implement microservices-based architectures running on container platforms. Collaborate with solution architects, cloud engineers, and customers to define technical requirements and solution designs. Cloud Engineering & Platform Services Design, deploy, and manage solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments. Implement AWS-native services including: AWS ECS AWS Fargate AWS Control Tower AWS Lambda Amazon API Gateway Amazon RDS Dynamo DB S3 Cloud Watch IAM Participate in cloud migration and modernization engagements. Optimize cloud architectures for security, scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency. Infrastructure as Code & Automation Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Ia C) solutions using: Terraform AWS Cloud Formation Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployments. Implement platform engineering best practices and reusable infrastructure patterns. Maintain cloud governance and compliance standards. Dev Ops & CI/CD Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using: Git Hub AWS Developer Tools Modern Dev Ops tooling Implement automated testing, deployment, and release management practices. Support continuous integration and continuous delivery across cloud environments. Drive Dev Sec Ops best practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle. AI & Machine Learning Solutions Design and develop AI-powered applications using: Amazon Bedrock AWS AI/ML Services Lang Graph Integrate Generative AI capabilities into customer solutions. Build intelligent workflows, agents, and business automation solutions. Collaborate with customers to identify AI use cases and implementation opportunities. Engineering Excellence Perform code reviews and mentor junior engineers. Ensure applications meet quality, security, and performance standards. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and cross-functional teams. Produce high-quality technical documentation and architectural diagrams. Continuously evaluate emerging cloud and AI technologies. To Thrive in This Role, You Need Technical Skills Strong understanding of software engineering principles and cloud-native architecture. Strong proficiency in: Type Script Java Script Python Experience with modern front-end development using: React HTML5 CSS3 Experience building RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures. Solid understanding of containerization technologies and cloud-native development patterns. Experience with: AWS ECS AWS Fargate Docker Kubernetes (advantageous) Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Cloud Formation. Knowledge of CI/CD practices and Git Hub Actions. Working knowledge of cloud networking, security, identity management, and observability. Cloud Skills Strong experience with AWS cloud services. Knowledge of Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Experience delivering cloud modernization and migration initiatives. Understanding of cloud governance frameworks and multi-account strategies. Familiarity with AWS Control Tower and cloud landing zone implementations. AI & Data Skills Exposure to Generative AI technologies. Experience with Amazon Bedrock or comparable AI platforms. Understanding of prompt engineering, AI orchestration frameworks, and agent-based architectures. Experience with Lang Graph or related AI workflow frameworks is advantageous. Academic Qualifications & Certifications Required Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Preferred Certifications AWS AWS Certified Developer Associate AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer Professional Cloud Platform Microsoft Azure Certifications Google Cloud Professional Certifications Dev Ops & Agile Terraform Associate Certification Scrum Certification Agile Practitioner Certification Required Experience 5+ years of software engineering and application development experience. 3+ years of hands-on AWS cloud experience. Experience delivering cloud-native solutions in enterprise environments. Strong experience with: AWS ECS AWS Fargate AWS Control Tower Terraform Cloud Formation CI/CD pipelines REST APIs React Type Script Experience in cloud migration and modernization projects. Experience developing AI-enabled or Generative AI solutions is advantageous. Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams. Experience with Linux environments and cloud operations. Workplace type
