Job Title: Software Applications Engineer
DESCRIPTIONThe software applications engineer will design, develop, and support manufacturing software control systems used with Mitsubishi fabrication equipment at customer facilities located in North America. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for design, development, validation, and support of automation software to enable manufacturing technologies. This position requires the ability to independently manage work assignments and complete project lifecycle management (i.e., requirement analysis to deployment and support).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEJob operates mainly indoors, but may be exposed to changing weather conditions such as extreme hot or cold, rain, sun, wind, etc. The job also works near moving mechanical parts and the noise level is moderate to loud. This position generally requires a lot of driving and overtime work. Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possession of a valid driver’s license is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThis job requires very frequent bending at the waist, twisting of the upper body, standing, speaking and hearing, and frequent kneeling. Repetitive use of the hands, squeezing, keyboarding and crouching. Requires frequent lifting and carrying of 1–10 pounds, recurrent lifting of 11–20 pounds and occasional lifting and carrying of 21–50 or more pounds. Also requires constant pushing and pulling of 1–50 pounds and infrequent pushing and pulling of over 50 pounds with the aid of handcarts or other wheeled devices. Good visual and color acuity is required to perform this job.
