Here’s what you can expect:

As a Software Deployment Engineer (m/f/d), you’ll play a key role within the team in the field of data analytics and automatic passenger counting. In addition to analyzing historical public transit operational data, the software solutions also include real-time processing and visualization of passenger counts, enabling our global customers to derive optimal forecasts.

Together with your team, you’ll serve as the point of contact for national and international transit agencies during the implementation and use of our system solutions, and you’ll be in constant communication with our colleagues in development
You will plan deployments (installations, updates, patches) of our data analysis software solutions and roll them out on our complex customer systems
As part of our customer projects, you will coordinate software migrations for our software solutions
Furthermore, you ensure that all necessary information is documented in our JIRA ticketing system and the Confluence knowledge base—to facilitate a broad transfer of knowledge
You will perform functional tests on the delivered software and analyze any errors, potentially based on the program code
To ensure a consistent transfer of expertise, you’ll work closely with your future colleagues on your own team as well as with cross-functional departments
You’ll help improve and automate deployment processes

Here’s what you bring to the table:

You have completed an apprenticeship as an IT specialist or a degree in an IT-related field, or you have acquired your technical expertise through practical (professional) experience
An affinity for data and data analysis
Fluency in German and English will help you in technical discussions with colleagues and customers
You have in-depth knowledge of SQL, ideally in an Oracle environment
Basic understanding of server configurations (e.g., clusters, virtual machines)
Experience with PowerShell, Java, and/or PL/SQL is desirable
Ideally, you’ve already gained some experience with cloud and real-time technologies as well as CI/CD and can contribute this knowledge
You enjoy actively contributing, value teamwork, and are happy to share your knowledge with others
