As a Software Designer C#/C++/JAVA, you develop software for high‑tech products and machines.

In this role you support our customers in the semiconductor, analytical instrumentation, and medical equipment industries within the triangle of Nijmegen, Enschede and Zwolle by delivering smart, sustainable and reliable software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Applying your creative skills during the concept phase of projects, translating requirements into innovative, clear and realistic concepts.
  • Acting as a bridge between architects and engineers from a technical perspective.
  • Taking responsibility for a module/subsystem throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Guiding and coaching a team of (senior) engineers.

Qualifications

  • Technical bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical software development, gained in various roles and across diverse product environments or projects.
  • Over the past 4–5 years, worked within technical domains such as semiconductor, medical or analytical.
  • Experience with at least two of the following programming languages: C#, C++, Java.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with development methodologies and techniques such as Design Patterns, UML, Agile, and a commitment to keeping technical expertise up to date.
  • Ability to coach junior engineers based on experience.
  • Team player with a focus on the common goal.
  • Good command of Dutch and English, spoken and written.
  • Valid European driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
