- Lead technical decisions related to our product
- Design overall system architecture
- Build, develop, test, and deploy high-scale web applications, infrastructure, and blockchain protocol.
- Work with our product team to build great developer and user experiences that are consistent across all parts of the protocol and incorporate the latest results from our research team
- Effectively communicate and understand complex ideas with other engineers/non-engineers
- An entrepreneurial mindset, willing to learn new things and get hands dirty, is a must
- Self-directed worker
- 5+ years of experience writing code: Node.js
- 5+ years of experience developing web and/or backend services in an agile environment
- Expertise in databases (e.g. Elasticsearch, Big Query)
- Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g. AWS)
- Ability to dive in and research new technologies and bring them into our tech stack
- Experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction
- A basic understanding of the Ethereum
- Contributions to Open Source projects especially related to crypto
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Familiarity with Docker, NGINX, and other infrastructure technologies as we don't have a dedicated DevOps team
- Experience monitoring and analyzing big log data
