Software Developer and Consultant

Part-time Azure Shadow ERP SQL Hybrid

About the role

Innovative Technologies Group (“Inntec”) is a growing software company headquartered in Riverview, Florida for 30+ years. As CEO and Lead Developer I run development today, and I’m bringing on another developer to take real ownership alongside me as we grow. If you want to showcase and grow your passion for owning real, end-to-end projects — scoping, building, and talking to the humans who use what you make — read on.

You won’t be a cog in a 500-person engineering org here. You’ll own real projects end-to-end, from the first conversation with a client to the bug fix six months after launch. The work has outgrown one developer.

About Inntec

We build web application ERPs for businesses. Our flagship product is GrowerLive — an ERP built for live-goods businesses (nurseries, growers, and distributors). Because of our customizable software, we also take on custom ERP work for other industries when the fit is right.

Our current stack is C#/.NET with SQL Server . GrowerLive today runs on Razor views and JavaScript; new projects are moving to Blazor .

The team today: I run Inntec and handle the development, with part-time help on sales and bookkeeping. You’d be our second developer — which means you’ll have real leverage on how we build and grow from here.

The role

You’ll partner directly with our clients to understand their business problems, then design and build software that solves them — primarily by extending GrowerLive and our other products, sometimes with greenfield work. You’ll own projects end-to-end: scoping, estimating, building, shipping, and supporting.

You’re not a coder in a back room. You’ll talk to the people who actually use what you make — and in a small shop, that’s the best part of the job.

What your first year will look like

Months 1–3 — Ramp. Learn our codebase. Meet our clients. Shadow projects that Ryan is leading. Ship your first small pieces of work.

Months 4–6 — Take the wheel. Start leading your own projects end-to-end. Own your own estimates. Handle your own client calls. Work toward ~30 billable hours/week.

Months 7–12 — Run half the shop. Own roughly half of our active client project load. Estimates land within ~15% of actual time. Clients rate your projects 9+/10 at close.

What we’re looking forMust-have

  • 2+ years of commercial experience building web applications with C#/.NET . (Internship counts if it was real shipping work.)
  • Working SQL Server skills — you can write queries, design schemas, and troubleshoot performance.
  • Experience with server-rendered .NET web apps — Razor views (ASP.NET MVC / Razor Pages) and/or Blazor . We use Razor today and are moving new projects to Blazor, so comfort in at least one is a must and willingness to learn the other is a must.
  • Comfort with JavaScript for frontend interactivity on existing Razor-based work
  • A portfolio, GitHub, or code samples showing real shipped work — not tutorials.
  • You want to talk to clients. If the idea of a client call is a dealbreaker, this job isn’t for you.
  • Ownership mindset. You take a problem and run with it. When you hit a wall, you raise a flag rather than sitting on it.
  • Strong, proven communication skills — working directly with clients and with teammates. You explain technical things to non-technical people without talking down to them.
  • Pragmatism. You ship the 80% solution when it’s the right call. You don’t gold-plate; you don’t rewrite what works.
  • Comfortable in a small team where there’s no tech lead to defer to on every decision (and yes, we’ll help when you ask).

Nice-to-have

  • Prior consulting or agency experience
  • Experience with ERPs, inventory systems, or other business-process software
  • Horticulture / nursery / live-goods domain knowledge (bonus, not required)
  • Estimation or project management chops
  • Azure or similar cloud hosting experience

Our values

We hire for fit with five core values. If any of these don’t feel like you, we’re probably not the right shop:

  • People-focused — clients and teammates come first
  • Integrity — honest, trustworthy, and do the right thing when no one’s watching
  • Growth mindset — learn from setbacks, seek feedback, improve
  • Professional methodology — disciplined in how you work
  • Innovative mavericks — challenge the status quo, try new approaches

What we offer

  • Salary: $70,000 — $90,000 base, depending on experience
  • Location: Hybrid — 40% in our Riverview, FL office, 60% remote. You’ll need to be local to the Tampa metro or willing to relocate.
  • Time off: 2 weeks PTO, major holidays, and flex-time between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day
  • Health & Dental: 50% employer-paid benefits package for the employee
  • Retirement: Simple IRA with 3% employer match upon eligibility
  • Florida bonus: No state income tax — your take-home is meaningfully higher than the same salary in most other states.
  • True ownership in a small team — room for personal growth and the development of new, fresh ideas that push your skills and creativity.

We read every application. If you’re a fit, you’ll hear from us within one week.
