Overview
Software Developer – Full Stack – Intermediate. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining end‑to‑end web applications and data pipelines. Location: Toronto, Ontario. Responsibilities
Design, implement, and expand data pipelines through extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities. Translate technical system specifications into working, tested applications, including writing code, generating detailed programming specifications, and conducting unit tests. Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems during software use, implementation, conversion, and migrations. Support CSC SharePoint and Power Tool version releases and infrastructure: sustainment activities, urgent priorities, and time‑sensitive upgrades. Provide post‑implementation support and resolve any technical issues that arise. General Skills
Proficient in programming and analysis. Experience with structured development methodologies (SDLC, Agile/Scrum). Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. Effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities. Team player with a track record for meeting deadlines. Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies. Experience with information retrieval queries and communications protocols. Experience eliciting and documenting information from business stakeholders. Familiarity with application architecture, API development, and middleware. Full Stack Skills
Front‑end and back‑end development, including database design/management and DevOps. Design and implementation of web architecture, user interfaces, and REST API services. RESTful API development and Swagger documentation. Rapid application development (RAD) methodologies. Continuous integration and deployment practices. Experience with Java (WebLogic, Tomcat, EJB, Servlets), SQL (Oracle, SQL Server), and Azure DevOps/JIRA. Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) compliance. Experience with SharePoint website maintenance and enhancements. Requirements
7‑10 years of professional software development experience. Prior experience in creating Accessible applications. Data migration experience. Maintenance and enhancement of SharePoint websites and applications. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. Clear communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working within the public sector or with government agencies. Knowledge of government IT policies and procedures.
