Position: Senior Software Developer – Full Stack (2 openings)

Contract: 11‑month contract (213 business days) with possible extension. Onsite: 5 days per week.

Location: 87 Sir William Hearst Ave., Toronto, Ontario M3M 0B4

Must Have

Entity Framework or other Object-Relational Mapping data access tools
REST APIs
Java, TypeScript, JavaScript
SQL experience
Node.js
Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) for web application development

Nice to Have

Azure SQL
Responsive web front‑end development
Design, development, and testing of web APIs and web services
Unit testing and test automation support (e.g., NUnit, XUnit, MSTest, Karma, Jasmine)
Microservices and container‑based platform development, delivery, and testing
JSON Spring Boot
Azure Cloud Development including PaaS and SQL services or other cloud hosting technologies
Regression testing (manual and automated), familiarity with web‑based QA automation software such as Playwright
GIT, Azure DevOps (VSTS/TFS)

Responsibilities

Collaborate with IT professionals throughout the software development process
Use Agile/Scrum methodology for design, implementation, and maintenance of applications
Design, code, test, and debug applications
Implement and maintain relational databases and develop queries using SQL
Design and implement overall solution architecture, user interfaces, and database deployment
Design REST API services and integrate front‑end UIs with APIs
Maintain CI/CD pipelines and support deployment processes
Ensure application accessibility compliance with AODA and related regulations
Provide system documentation, user guides, and technical specifications
Work with Business Analysts, UX/UI designers, product managers, and cloud architects to deliver quality software products, including MVPs and Cloud‑Native Web Application products
Create object‑oriented models in UML and use design artefacts in tools such as Power Designer
Support QA & defect management: unit tests, test automation, penetration/vulnerability tests, load tests, AODA tests, system/user tests, migration tests
Build and enhance web applications using Cloud‑Native/PaaS & Java EE models (Microservice Architecture, API‑based model, Responsive Web Design, Serverless Architecture) and open‑source frameworks (Angular, React/Redux, JSON, Node.js, Spring Framework/Spring Boot/Spring MVC, Lombok, etc.)
Provide incident investigation, troubleshooting, and support for complex production Java enterprise applications
Document production releases and operational procedures for support staff
Coordinate system development activities and provide technical consultative support to team members
Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to staff at all stages of the assignment
Provide post‑implementation support as needed

Qualifications

Proficient in front‑end and back‑end development
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Experience with at least one programming language (Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, etc.)
Experience with relational database technologies and SQL queries
Experience with information retrieval using query languages
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Understanding of AODA and accessibility standards

Rates

Client‑owned Rate: $90.18/hr – $108.22/hr (7.25 billable hours per day)

Employee (T4) Rate: $72.14/hr – $86.58/hr (7.25 billable hours per day)
