Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Software Developer with a strong background in Spring Boot to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in software development, demonstrating a solid understanding of Java and Spring Boot frameworks. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high quality software solutions that meet our business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust applications using Spring Boot.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing applications.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance development processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development practices.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Java programming language.
- Extensive experience with Spring Boot framework.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Ability to work in an Agile development environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., Angular, React) is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of professional experience in software development.
- Proven track record of delivering high quality software solutions.
