Software Developer

We are currently recruiting for a Software Developer to join a growing business in Aberdeen. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking team, developing and enhancing internal software platforms and business applications that support day-to-day operations. This role is being offered on a hybrid working basis, 3 days in the Aberdeen office and 2 days remote. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions, working closely with internal stakeholders and technical partners to deliver reliable, scalable and user-focused applications. This position would suit a skilled developer who enjoys problem solving, innovation and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include: Designing, developing, testing and maintaining software applications using C# and .NET Building modern web applications and APIs using ASP.NET Core, JavaScript and React Developing backend services, RESTful APIs and system integrations Designing and optimising Microsoft SQL Server databases, queries and stored procedures Supporting application enhancements, troubleshooting and resolving software issues Working with Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code and Git for development and version control Collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions Supporting software deployments and ongoing system improvements Maintaining technical documentation and development standards Contributing to code reviews, testing and continuous improvement activities The ideal candidate will have commercial experience in software development, with strong knowledge of C#, .NET, JavaScript and modern web technologies. Experience with ASP.NET Core, React, SQL Server, APIs and database development is essential. You’ll be a proactive and analytical developer with strong communication skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a passion for learning new technologies and improving development practices.
