About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join a leading mining and energy organisation based in Perth CBD.
You will be part of a Green Systems Development Team responsible for building custom cloud-based applications supporting energy operations, forecasting, data analysis, asset tracking and decarbonisation initiatives.
This role will involve working across the full software development lifecycle, from solution design and development through to testing, deployment and documentation.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and maintain full-stack cloud-based applications.
- Design and implement scalable software solutions using modern development practices.
- Work with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop front-end applications using React or Angular.
- Build backend solutions using Python, SQL and modern APIs/services.
- Develop and integrate solutions using AWS cloud services.
- Work with PostgreSQL and relational databases.
- Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and contribute to sprint delivery.
- Implement CI/CD, DevOps, testing and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement.
About You You will ideally have: - 5+ years' experience in software development.
- Strong skills in Python, SQL, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
- Experience with React or Angular.
- Strong experience with AWS, including Lambda, RDS and/or ECS.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Docker and Git/GitHub.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps and Terraform.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong understanding of software development and security best practices.
