Job Summary:

Responsibilities:
- Develop and sustain large applications within a team environment.
- Write and optimize Java code and SQL database queries.
- Support application transitions from legacy mainframe systems to Java/SQL platforms.
- Collaborate using Agile methodologies and Atlassian tools, especially JIRA.
- Maintain and troubleshoot applications running on Linux environments.
- Work with state government applications, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- 15 years of Java development experience.
- 10 years of SQL database experience.
- 8 years of sustaining and development experience supporting large applications in a team.
- 5 years of experience working in Linux environments.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- 8 years of experience with Atlassian tool suite, especially JIRA.
- 8 years of experience with Agile methodology.
- 2 years of experience with State of Texas applications.
- 2 years of experience with Texas Department of Public Safety environment.
- 2 years of experience transitioning applications from legacy mainframe to Java/SQL environments.
