About the role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Software Developer with 2–3 years of experience in backend and API development. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs that support web, mobile, and enterprise applications.
This role is suitable for someone with a solid software engineering foundation who is interested in building reliable systems, integrating with different platforms, and contributing to modern application development. Exposure to cloud, automation, data processing, or AI-enabled applications is an advantage, but the role is primarily focused on backend software development .
What you will do
• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications and APIs.
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performance RESTful or similar service interfaces.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product teams, QA, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following development standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance and reliability.
• Participate in system design, code reviews, and technical discussions.
• Integrate backend services with databases, third-party platforms, and internal systems.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of applications in development, testing, and production environments.
• Contribute to software architecture and continuous improvement of development processes.
Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, APIs, and development workflows.
What we're looking for
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend or API development.
Experience in designing and developing web services or APIs.
Familiarity with software development lifecycle, version control, and collaborative development practices.
• Understanding of relational and or NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of application security, authentication, and authorization concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, C#, or Go .
• Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with JSON or similar data formats.
• Familiarity with backend frameworks and libraries relevant to the chosen language.
• Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB , or similar.
• Knowledge of Git and standard development workflows.
• Familiarity with Docker , cloud platforms, or CI/CD tools is an advantage.
• Understanding of system integration, asynchronous processing, and API security is a plus.
• Exposure to message queues, caching, and microservices architecture is beneficial.
Preferred Skills
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.
• Familiarity with cloud-based application deployment and monitoring.
• Basic understanding of containerization and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to AI-enabled applications, data integration, or automation projects is a plus.
• Interest in learning and working on new technologies as business needs evolve.
