In this role you help modernize mission-critical mainframe systems by designing, building, and maintaining high-volume Java microservices. You’ll refactor legacy code to enable seamless cloud and mobile integration with core data. You’ll work within a global expert community to deliver reliable, scalable transactional services and improve system observability and performance. This is a hands-on role that shapes modernization initiatives and empowers customers to evolve their workloads.

- Develop and test Java microservices aligned to architectural specs
- Implement business logic for complex transactional workflows

- Write automated unit and integration tests to ensure quality
- Support debugging, troubleshooting and performance optimization
- Collaborate on observability, logging, metrics, and distributed tracing
- Develop highly reliable services for scalable, resilient transactions
- 5+ years of experience
- Java 17 and Spring Boot 3.x
- Microservices design and implementation
- PostgreSQL and Redis knowledge
- Apache Kafka or similar messaging system
- OpenAPI 3.0 and Swagger knowledge
- Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- JUnit 5 automated testing
- Static code analysis for quality and security
- Structured logging, monitoring, observability basics
- Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to standards
- Good technical documentation and communication skills
