Requirements
Must have:
- We require a bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- We need proven software development and coding capability.
- We expect experience building applications with at least one modern programming language.
- We look for working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, APIs, and data integration.
- We require experience using source control tools such as Git.
- You should be able to troubleshoot issues, investigate solutions, and work independently.
- Strong communication skills are essential, including the ability to collaborate with both technical and nontechnical team members.
- You must be able to manage multiple priorities and carry projects through to completion.
- We want someone willing to learn how construction operations work in both the office and the field.
- A valid drivers license and the ability to travel to our facilities and jobsites when needed are required.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, .NET, SQL, or similar technologies.
- We value experience building web applications with frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, Django, Flask, or ASP.NET.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Power BI, Power Automate, Azure, or comparable business platforms is preferred.
- We also value experience creating APIs and connecting third‑party software systems.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, application deployment, and cybersecurity is an advantage.
- We welcome experience building AI‑assisted applications or using large language model APIs.
- Background in construction, manufacturing, logistics, equipment management, accounting, or another operations‑focused industry is preferred.
- Experience supporting mobile applications or tools used by field employees is a plus.

Responsibilities:
- We design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain internal software applications.
- We write clean, secure, organized, and maintainable code.
- We build web applications, mobile-friendly tools, dashboards, databases, APIs, and system integrations.
- We create custom tools for construction operations, project management, equipment tracking, materials production, safety, HR, and accounting.
- We develop automated workflows that reduce manual entry, duplicated effort, and administrative delays.
- We maintain source code, technical documentation, testing procedures, and version history.
- We troubleshoot software issues and enhance existing applications.
- We protect company information by following cybersecurity and access-control practices.
- We connect existing software platforms so information moves accurately between departments.
- We build and maintain integrations using APIs, databases, data imports, and automated workflows.
- We develop reporting systems and dashboards that provide managers with timely, useful information.
- We improve the quality, consistency, accessibility, and security of company data.
- We work with outside software providers and technology vendors when needed.
- We evaluate whether a problem should be addressed with custom development, existing software, or process improvement.
- We identify practical ways to apply artificial intelligence across the company.
- We develop AI‑assisted tools for reporting, document processing, data analysis, estimating, scheduling, and internal communication.
- We create safeguards for confidential company and employee information.
- We assess new technologies based on reliability, security, cost, and measurable business value.
- We train employees to use approved AI and automation tools responsibly.
- We meet with employees to understand their work, challenges, and technology needs.
- We translate user needs into clear software requirements and development plans.
- We test new tools with actual users before company-wide rollout.
- We train employees and provide clear documentation.
- We respond to software problems and resolve issues promptly.
