Your Impact

Design, build, and evolve complex software solutions supporting safety, reliability, and modernization of the National Airspace System. Influence architectural decisions, guide development standards, and mentor engineering teams delivering high‑impact solutions.

  • Support technical design and architecture for complex software systems.
  • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, requirements, and performance standards.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with technical customers, project managers, QA engineers, and other developers to ensure alignment on deliverables.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize performance, improve user experience, and reduce technical debt.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years experience OR Associate's degree and 7 years experience OR HS diploma/equivalent and 9 years experience.
  • Proven experience in software development, including front‑end Angular web development and back‑tier Java Spring Boot API development.
  • Experience with Spring Boot framework, including RESTful APIs, controllers, services, and repositories.
  • Experience with Angular, including components, services, pipes, and routing.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to FAA programs or NAS systems.
  • Experience with FAA systems, federal modernization efforts, or mission‑critical software development environments.
  • Knowledge of TypeScript and its benefits for large‑scale applications.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+) for front‑end development.
  • Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mocha, and Jasmine.
  • Familiarity with containerization using Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
