The Developer - STARS role involves configuring and enhancing the STARS application to support efficient and accurate tax processing. The programmer will engage in analysis, design, coding, testing, and documentation, primarily using C#, PostgreSQL, and Visual Studio, while adhering to GenTax system standards. This position requires collaboration with other developers and participation in code reviews, operating with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:- Configure and enhance the STARS application based on project requirements.
- Analyze, design, code, test, and document software components.
- Develop fixes for production issues following functional and technical standards of the GenTax system.
- Implement SQR change requests within the FAST GenTax system.
- Track changes using the Fast Central Repository (FCR) adhering to project standards.
- Coordinate work with other software developers and participate in structured code reviews and walkthroughs.
- Work independently with minimal supervision from a team leader.
- Minimum 5 years of programming experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with FAST Enterprises, LLC technology systems such as GenTax, Fast DS-VS, Fast UI-PL, or Fast CSE.
- Proficiency in C# programming language.
- Experience with PostgreSQL database management.
- Familiarity with Visual Studio development environment.
- Knowledge of Fast Core components.
- Experience working with FAST Enterprises systems within the last 6 months is not required but may be beneficial.
- Work is essential to improving tax processing efficiency and accuracy.
- Position requires adherence to project-specific coding and documentation standards.
- Minimal direct supervision; strong self-management skills expected.
- Remote work arrangement.
- Contract duration of 9+ months.
- Interview conducted via webcam.
