Your daily pitch

As a Software Developer in Test (m/f/x), you'll help shape the technology that powers the customer experience across Tipico's retail shops. Working closely with Product Managers, Developers, and other cross-functional teams, you'll ensure every feature is thoroughly tested, reliable, and ready to perform in a fast-paced retail environment. Your playing field:

• You collaborate with Product Managers and engineers to define requirements and acceptance criteria that ensure quality is built in from the start.
• You contribute high-quality code and provide constructive code reviews that help raise engineering standards across the team.
• You support developers in debugging activities and help identify issues before they reach production.
• You develop and maintain automated tests in Java to improve reliability, efficiency, and release confidence.
• You design and execute API and REST interface tests that protect critical customer experiences.
• You contribute to load and performance testing to ensure our platforms remain scalable and resilient.
• You continuously improve test automation practices by identifying opportunities to make our products smarter, simpler, and safer.
• You work closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to deliver high-quality features at pace.
• You champion quality throughout the development lifecycle and help drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Education. You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Clean Coding. You have a strong understanding of writing, reviewing, and maintaining high-quality code.
• Test Automation. You have hands-on experience creating and maintaining automated test cases, ideally with 5+ years of experience, using frameworks such as JUnit and REST-Assured.
• Test Management. You have solid experience working with Zephyr or similar test management tools.
• Testing Tools. You have practical experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, or Playwright.
• SQL. You have a basic understanding of databases and SQL queries.
• Agile Testing. You have a good understanding of quality assurance practices within agile software development environments.
• Bonus Points. You score an extra point if you have experience working with Java and Selenium for automated testing.
• English. You have fluent spoken and written English skills.
