Our Client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer I with strong backend expertise in Ruby on Rails to join a dynamic and collaborative engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performing backend systems while contributing to architecture decisions and engineering best practices. Lead the development of new features and enhancements for Rails-based APIs
Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews
Identify and resolve performance issues, bugs, and technical debt
Stay up to date with emerging trends in Ruby on Rails and backend technologies
Work effectively in an Agile development environment
5+ years of professional experience in software development
~ Strong expertise in Ruby, Ruby on Rails, and backend development
~ Solid understanding of Postgre SQL, My SQL, and Graph QL
~ Experience with testing frameworks (RSpec, Minitest)
~ Knowledge of background job processing (Sidekiq, Shoryuken, Amazon SQS)
~ Familiarity with AWS, cloud environments, and containerization
~ Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Git Hub workflows
~ Experience with frontend technologies (Java Script, Type Script, Angular)
Knowledge of performance optimization, observability, and scaling
