In this role you will own the design, development, and maintenance of Ring’s Billing and Subscriptions services, enabling scalable features that support our growing customer base. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality APIs and improve user experience while addressing security and operational excellence. You will contribute to new initiatives within the Ring ecosystem (e.g., video recording, computer vision, voice assistant integrations) and help scale our services to meet demand. This position offers impact across Ring and Amazon engineering teams with a focus on quality, maintainability, and performance.
Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Design, implement, and evolve functionality for Ring Billing and Subscription services with reusable, test-driven code
• Improve architecture by building scalable systems and APIs for a growing business
• Lead technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders to assess feasibility and provide estimates
• Enhance user experience by researching and embedding new capabilities to increase efficiency
• Own operation excellence, tech debt, and security roadmap; closely partner with Product teams
• Mentor and guide team members through design reviews, code reviews, and defect analysis/RCA
• Build features and maintain existing ones; create documentation for services and APIs
• Participate in xqbhyrx on-call rotations to own the team's platform
• Collaborate with other Ring and Amazon engineering teams on a daily basis
Responsabilidades
• Experience in professional, non-internship software development
• Experience contributing to architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
• Experience programming with Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design
