Lead Software Development Engineer in Test - Java

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead SDET with expertise in Automated Testing in Java to join our client, an international hotel operating company undergoing a digital transformation. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality of our client's digital solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of peer testers, leading the team and driving the automation testing efforts
- Take ownership of test planning, prioritization, defining the QA scope and test strategy
- Demonstrate a high level of responsibility, handling challenging test scenarios
- Collect and report on QA metrics and statistics to the clients
- Regularly communicate with client managers and the development team for status updates and feedback
- Engage with third-party vendors for testing activities and coordination
- Manage tight deadlines while handling complex regression testing efficiently
- Proactively identify and address potential issues, proving your point and making a case for necessary improvements
- Demonstrate fast learning abilities to adapt to new technologies and tools
- Utilize your high technical expertise and programming skills in Java to develop efficient and effective automated test scripts
- Have a product/start-up mindset, actively contributing to the digital transformation goals of the company
Requirements :
- Strong expertise in Automated Testing in Java
- Experience in the Travel & Hospitality industry
- Knowledge and experience in Selenium framework, Ruby, and Rest-based query
- Familiarity with migrating to Playwright and visual testing in mobile
- Proficiency in Espresso, Swift, and Appium for automation testing
- Experience with visual comparison testing toolings
- Background in test planning and strategy definition
- Skills in collecting, analyzing, and reporting QA metrics and test results
- Ability to handle tight deadlines and complex testing scenarios
- Capability to engage and coordinate with third-party vendors
- Flexibility to use new technologies and tools in a dynamic environment
- Competency to lead and drive a team effectively
