About the RoleTrimble is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test to develop and execute automated and manual tests to ensure product quality.
The SDET responsibilities include test case development, manual testing, designing and implementing automated UI / API tests for web and API first backend applications.
The responsibilities will also include monitoring all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.What You Will Be DoingUnderstand product requirements
Develop Test plans, Develop test cases, and Automate test cases
Conduct Manual testing, Automation testing, and Performance testingCoordinate with your Development and SRE team and complete testing on time, report bugs and track them to closureGenerate and maintain test execution reportsTake part in team standups, product review meetings, weekly meetingsCollaborate with stakeholders for troubleshooting product issuesContribute to ongoing improvements in testing processes, tools, and techniques.What Skills & Experience You Should Have
Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology.Hold 3-5 years of experience in Software testingUnderstanding of REST APIs and backend servicesStrong in programming language likes Python / Java / C#Hands-on experience in setting up CI, test report generation with any of the tools like Allure, Extent reports, Zephyr,etc.Experience with API testing tools and frameworks, such as Postman, Rest Assured, etcExperience with UI automation tools, such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or anything similarAbility to write and execute Database queries (SQL / No SQL)Exposure to at least one cloud provider platform (AWS/Azure) is a plusGood verbal and written communication skills.About TrimbleTrimble is an industrial technology company, concentrated on helping the world work better.
