Position Overview
We are seeking a Software DevOps Engineer II to design, implement, and maintain modern software development environments that support the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). This role will focus on building scalable, secure, and reusable DevOps solutions that enable Software, FPGA, Hardware, and Test Engineering teams.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, embedded software development, Linux-based environments, and DevOps automation. You will collaborate with Engineering, IT, and Operations teams to improve development workflows, automate testing, strengthen security, and support reliable product deployments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Software Development, or Test Automation.
- Experience working in Aerospace, Defense, Embedded Systems, or similar engineering environments is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as:
- Jenkins
- GitLab
- Ansible
- Experience with software quality and security tools including:
- Coverity
- Parasoft
- Black Duck
- CycloneDX
- Experience with source control systems such as Git and SVN.
- Experience supporting embedded software development using C, C++, or Rust.
- Experience working with Embedded Linux and RTOS development environments.
- Hands-on experience with Docker containers and/or Virtual Machines.
- Understanding of secure networking concepts and software development infrastructure.
- Familiarity with security and compliance standards such as:
- NIST
- ISO 27001
- FedRAMP
- DoD Security Standards
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing DevOps solutions for embedded systems.
- Python scripting and automation experience.
- Exposure to FPGA development environments and toolchains.
- Experience supporting secure software supply chains and automated security scanning.
- Knowledge of modern DevSecOps practices.
