Position: API Engineer

Location: SF, Plano, McLean, Richmond

Title: Software Engineer (Senior API Developer)

Job Description: Design, deliver and support RESTful API solutions for customers covering IT Risk Management, IT Service Management and IT Asset Management. Maintain the software and cloud infrastructure for these API solutions with a you-build-it-you-own-it mindset.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to identify data and process requirements
• Design RESTful API solutions that adhere to best practice architectural and SDLC guidelines
• Develop API solutions with automated code and integration testing
• Maintain automated deployment of code using CI/CD platform
• Integrate API solutions with ServiceNow platform modules
• Collaborate with management, business users, developers and various other stakeholders
• Create supporting system documentation including requirement documents, design documents and training guides
• Work on issues and requests for platform assistance including end-user trouble inquiries, regular maintenance, enhancements, and defect fixes
• Contribute to the creation of custom reports and dashboards as well as generating KPIs and supporting metrics
• Integrate and interface ServiceNow with other systems using web services and other web-based technologies such as XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, REST/SOAP
• Develop programs using web technologies such as Spring, Kotlin, Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript
• Develop programs using testing technologies such as Cucumber, Karate, Cypress
• Experience with ServiceNow API
• Work on any other tasks assigned by management

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 2 years of experience developing RESTful APIs
• At least 2 years of experience with cloud infrastructure
• At least 3 years of experience using web technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of Spring (Java/Kotlin) development experience
• 2+ years of experience with J2EE technologies
• 2+ years experience in AWS cloud
