We're seeking engineers to utilize advanced technology in agile settings, with a focus on improving the customer experience for every collector.
What You'll Do:
- Participate across the entire software development lifecycle, taking features from concept to production release- Communicate with Product and other stakeholders to develop business requirements- Collaboratively create solutions with other teams- Troubleshoot software issues and debug a large codebase- Develop and execute unit and integration tests- Contribute to technical documentation to increase maintainability of software assets
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of software engineering industry experience building backend software, with exposure to microservices, event-driven architectures, and REST APIs, or Java EE.
- 3+ years experience with the Java tech stack (Spring boot, Micronaut, Quarkus) and are also not afraid to take on other new technologies- Experience with relational as well as NoSQL databases such as MSSQL, Postgresql, DynamoDB- Hands-on experience on web services (REST, GraphQL, gRPC).
- 3+ years of experience with AWS cloud services such as Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, MSK, OpenSearch, S3, SNS, SQS as well as infrastructure tools (ex:
- Terraform, Docker)- Experience with messaging platforms like Kafka, enabling real-time communication and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with AI-powered developer tools such as Augment, GitHub Copilot and Claude (Anthropic) to improve productivity and code quality- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, design patterns and best practices.
- Possess strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with the ability to visualize and document processes.
- Exposure to Test Automation tools and practices (data contract validation, performance testing, karate, etc).
- Understanding of how to create modular and extensible APIs- Proficient at using appropriate security, documentation, and/or monitoring best practices- Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies
