About Rippling

Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company—payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers—into a single system, enabling the automation of every part of the employee lifecycle.

About the HR Product Team

The HR Product Engineering team builds the foundational layer of Rippling's unified workforce management system. Our mission is to create seamless, global, and compliant systems that power the entire employee lifecycle, from hire to retire.

What We Build
  • HRIS: Building the core employee record, organizational structure, and workflows that serve as the single source of truth for all other Rippling products.
  • Time: Developing accurate, scalable, and globally compliant Time & Attendance systems, including clocking, time‑off accrual, and scheduling to ensure employees are paid correctly and legally.
  • Benefits: Creating and maintaining the marketplace and administration tools for health, retirement, and other employee benefits, handling complex enrollment, eligibility, and provider integrations.
  • Talent: Designing products that manage employee growth, performance, and learning, helping companies develop and retain their workforce effectively.

What You Will Do
  • Design and implement backend‑centric features, focusing on API development, event modeling, and data integrity, while also contributing to frontend implementation.
  • Work across the stack, ensuring seamless connection between backend architecture and user interface.
  • Own the full development lifecycle for features, ensuring backend reliability and excellent frontend performance.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners to understand requirements, refine technical scope, and deliver reliable features.

What You Will Need
  • 2+ years of professional experience with full‑stack development, delivering end‑to‑end products using a backend language (e.g., Python/Go) and frontend technologies like React/TypeScript.
  • Prioritization of projects based on business impact, ensuring high‑quality implementation without unnecessary complexity.
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic environments, switching context between frontend and backend work as needed for rapid delivery.
  • Excellent communication of technical trade‑offs across the stack with clarity and precision to both frontend and backend partners.
