Job Title: Software Engineer (II) - Commodity EngineerIII
Location: Chennai
Work Type: Hybrid (4 Days work From Office)
Position Description:
  • Automation and AI in the client's Technology space is evolving and lot of opportunities to generate new business values.
  • We require more demanding skillsets with Pega RPA / DPA & PRPC, Alteryx, Java, QlikSense, AI and Automation tools to support the product deliveries.
  • Also expect to know cloud engineering expectation over public cloud especially GCP and their services.
  • Need strong technical skills and software Craftmanship principles to deliver Automation.
  • High curios to learn new technologies to support Modernization of existing Automations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead technical design for case management solutions, ensuring guardrails compliance and reuse.
  • Designing class structures, application frameworks, and data models: Service Connector, integrating PRPC to third-party systems using RESTful Services (JSON, XML, HTTP), integrating Pega with other Technology Platforms, API, Data model, UI, security in PEGA Infinity
  • Define and enforce standards for ruleset strategy, branching, reuse patterns, and deployment.
  • Debug PEGA by using tools such as Tracer, Clipboard, Admin, PDC and having good knowledge on Monitoring tools like Kibana and New relic
  • Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting (PAL, AES/diagnostics, tracer patterns).
  • Mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and drive quality through testing strategies.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, and QA teams for end-to-end delivery.
  • Strong expertise in: o Enterprise-scale case architecture and orchestration o Integration architecture (API-led, event-driven, distributed systems)
  • Ruleset strategy, branching, and governance at scale o Security architecture (enterprise-grade access control, data security, compliance)
  • Performance engineering and optimization for large workloads
Skills Required:
  • Pega, Python, RPA , JavaScript, .NET Developer, C#, .Net Framework
Skills Preferred:
  • Pega PRPC Proficiency, GenAI, Google Cloud Platform, AIPGEE
Experience Required:
  • Engineer 3 Exp: Prac. In 2 coding lang. or adv. Prac. in 1 lang. 6+ years in IT; 4+ years in development
Education Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree
Education Preferred:
  • Additional Safety Training/Licensing/Personal Protection Requirements:
Additional Information :
Must-Have:
  • CSSA certification (mandatory)
  • 5 8 years of strong hands-on Pega development experience with end-to-end delivery ownership.
Strong design and implementation across:
  • Case architecture (multi-case orchestration, reusable subprocesses)
  • Data layer (data pages, sourcing, caching, pagination strategies)
  • UI rules (sections, harnesses), correspondence, SLAs, routing
Strong integration experience:
  • Designing REST services, connectors, authentication patterns, resiliency and retry strategies
  • Error handling, mapping, and logging standards
  • Strong debugging/troubleshooting skills using Tracer, Clipboard, PAL and production issue triage.
  • Experience with DevOps practices for Pega (branching model, pipeline deployments, merge governance).
Good-to-Have:
  • Deep experience with Pega Constellation (design, migration, and enterprise rollout)
  • Expertise in cloud-native deployments (Pega Cloud, Kubernetes/AKS/EKS, observability)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and release governance at scale
  • Exposure to Pega GenAI / AI-driven workflows / Agentic AI capabilities
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration ecosystems and microservices architecture
Nice-to-Have:
  • Extensive experience in Banking / Financial Services domain (disputes, cards, payments, lending, onboarding, servicing)
  • Experience with Pega Smart Disputes or other Pega industry frameworks
  • Exposure to global, multi-region deployments with compliance and regulatory considerations
  • Proven track record in legacy modernization programs (mainframe, BPM, workflow platforms)
