Senior Software Engineer - Data Infrastructure
Responsibilities
- designing and operating Kafka event processing
- building batch pipelines with Dagster
- managing ClickHouse Cloud ingestion and queries
- driving projects end-to-end
- setting architecture decisions
- building developer tooling and CI/CD
- ensuring reliability and operational excellence with alerting and incident response
- optimizing performance and cost across Kafka, Spark, DuckDB, and ClickHouse
- collaborating cross-functionally with data, ML, and product teams
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in production distributed systems
- strong Python and/or Rust programming skills
- experience with Kafka, Spark, Iceberg or object storage
- ClickHouse or similar analytics databases
- AWS
- Kubernetes
- infrastructure-as-code
- proven performance or cost optimization
