We support U.S. government customers developing next-generation satellite ground systems. In this role, you will contribute to a Java Spring Boot-based planning and scheduling application that enables mission operations, resource allocation, and execution for satellite ground software. You will work as part of a mission-focused engineering team delivering scalable, reliable backend services while supporting integration, testing, and operational deployment in a secure environment.Responsibilities and Duties:Design, develop, and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices supporting satellite ground planning and scheduling workflowsImplement RESTful APIs and backend services aligned with defined system architecture and mission requirementsCollaborate with systems engineers and domain experts to translate mission needs into technical solutionsSupport integration and test activities, including troubleshooting and defect resolutionParticipate in technical reviews, code reviews, and software auditsDevelop and maintain system interfaces (internal and external)Contribute to basic DevOps activities, including:GitLab repository managementCI/CD pipeline usage and maintenanceSupporting containerized deployments and environment configurationFollow secure software development practices within a classified environmentPrimary Location:Radix Metasystems HQ, 325 Inverness Drive South, Englewood, CO 80112Secondary/Additional Location(s):Buckley Space Force Base, Aurora, CO 80011Salary Range:The salary and compensation for this position will be determined based on skill level, experience, and education as applicable. Requisition: 129QualificationsRequired Qualifications:U.S. CitizenshipCurrently active TS/SCI security clearance issued by a U.S. Government Entity (no sponsorship available)Minimum 16+ years of Software Development and Engineering experience, ideally using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the last few years.Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent work experience in lieu of degreeStrong experience with Java and Spring BootExperience developing backend services and RESTful APIsFamiliarity with Linux-based development environmentsExperience with Git-based version control and CI/CD workflows (GitLab preferred)Working knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)Ability to design, deploy and maintain complex software systemsStrong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsAbility to effectively work, and communicate, with engineers, systems teams, and leadershipTechnical Qualifications: AI, Python/Java/C++, Scripting and scripting languages, databases, Linux OS env using tools such as Git, Eclipse, etc.Preferred Qualifications:Currently active TS/SCI security clearance issued by a U.S. Government EntityU.S. Government Adjudicated Full-Scope or Counterintelligence polygraphExperience with planning and scheduling systems, mission management, or satellite ground operationsFamiliarity with microservice architectures and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)Experience supporting software in an operational or mission-critical environmentBackground in intelligence community systems or space domain awarenessDesired experience: AI/LLM Engineering, X-Midas, Digital Signal Processing
