Key Responsibilities
- Search Solutions: Design, build, and maintain advanced search functionalities within the GovOS SaaS platform, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.
- Technical Standards: Collaborate with Engineers to establish and document best practices for search features and related infrastructure.
- Clean Code: Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code, following cloud-native development best practices.
- You strive to write code that focuses on: Reliability, Scalability, Security, Usability, & Maintainability
- Troubleshooting: Identify and optimize performance issues in core product software and databases.
- Agile Practices: Participate in SCRUM processes to ensure efficient development from concept to production.
- Security & Compliance: Perform security analyses and address SaaS compliance needs (SOC2, PCI, GDPR).
- CI/CD Automation: Support the automation of build pipelines, streamlining deployment and testing of search functionalities.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and technical leadership to less experienced team members.
- Other Duties: Stay current with emerging technologies and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Programming : 5+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js and React.
- Cloud Expertise : 5+ years working with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or related cloud services.
- Architectural Skills : Familiarity with microservices, messaging, serverless, distributed caching, containerization, and security.
- Database Proficiency : Strong knowledge of NoSQL and SQL databases.
- Agile Environment : Comfortable working in SCRUM or similar Agile methodologies.
- Compliance Awareness : Understanding of SOC2, PCI, GDPR, and related engineering tasks.
- Testing : Knowledge of automated testing tools and techniques
