As a Software Engineer in Vonage’s Cloud Engineering team, you will help advance the Vonage Video Platform by strengthening PaaS backends, cloud resource control, and scalable architecture. You’ll work on feature development and backend improvements with a focus on quality, fault-tolerance, and performance in real-time communications. You’ll collaborate across teams to design distributed systems and contribute to measurement and quality initiatives. Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Hands-on software development and system design
• Implement new features for the cloud-based API Gateway, Media Control and Signalling systems for the Vonage Video Platform
• Contribute to architectures for a highly distributed network application, resource optimization strategies, and real-time stream/message processing
• Design and develop approaches to measure, evaluate and improve service quality
• Collaborate on projects involving signalling fabric and coordinate with other teams
• Embed AI-assisted engineering into daily practice to accelerate delivery and enhance outcomes
• Proactively adopt emerging AI capabilities to improve xqbhyrx workflows and share best practices with the team
Responsabilidades
• Strong Java 17 and/or C++ coding skills
• JavaScript and HTML5 APIs across browser engines
• Understanding of memory management, garbage collection, concurrency
• Excellent debugging and problem solving skills
• Good understanding of algorithms and data structures
• Track record of delivering high quality code in a fast-paced environment
