Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer (Java & React) who is passionate about building scalable, customer-centric digital solutions. As part of our Digital Banking Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining modern web applications and microservices that enhance customer experiences and support business growth.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in both backend development using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices and frontend development using React.js and modern JavaScript frameworks. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Architects, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and performant applications in an Agile environment.
This role requires a strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and a commitment to engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Delivery
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable full-stack applications using Java and React.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot.
- Develop responsive and user-friendly front-end applications using React.js, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern UI frameworks.
- Translate business requirements and user stories into technical solutions.
- Deliver production-ready code with a strong focus on quality, security, maintainability, and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while ensuring application stability and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
Architecture & Design
- Contribute to solution architecture, technical design discussions, and system scalability initiatives.
- Design and implement reusable, modular, and maintainable software components.
- Ensure secure coding practices and compliance with enterprise architecture standards.
- Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and API specifications.
Agile Collaboration
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and product demos.
- Work closely with Product Owners, UX/UI Designers, QA Engineers, and Architects.
- Support estimation, technical feasibility assessments, and release planning activities.
- Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor application performance and implement optimization strategies.
- Improve CI/CD processes and development workflows.
- Identify opportunities for automation, modernization, and technical debt reduction.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 9+ years of hands-on software development experience.
- Strong experience in Java 8/11/17, Core Java, Collections, Multithreading, and Concurrent Programming.
- Expertise with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA, and Microservices Architecture.
- Strong experience in React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, Redux/Context API, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object-Oriented Design.
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB.
- Hands-on experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and modern IDEs such as IntelliJ IDEA.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of API Gateway, Service Mesh, Event-Driven Architecture, and Messaging platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub).
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks including JUnit, Mockito, Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK Stack.
- Understanding of secure application development and OWASP best practices.
- Experience working within SAFe Agile environments.
