This role is Hybrid in Winnipeg (3 days onsite per week). This is a 6-12 month contract opportunity with potential for extension. This opportunity is with a well-established organization delivering large-scale digital platforms and enterprise technology solutions that support critical services used by hundreds of thousands of users each year.
Overview of The Role
This is a senior full stack engineering opportunity focused on building and enhancing modern enterprise applications across both backend and frontend systems. You'll work with a contemporary Microsoft technology stack, contributing to scalable cloud-based applications while helping shape technical direction, mentoring developers, and driving engineering best practices. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, influencing architecture, and delivering high-quality software within a collaborative Agile environment. You'll have the opportunity to work on meaningful, business-critical systems while partnering with a high-performing engineering team committed to modern software development practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong experience with .NET / .NET Core and C#
- Experience building RESTful APIs using Web API and Entity Framework
- Experience with MVC and modern application architecture
- Strong SQL Server and relational database experience
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable application development
- Experience leading technical initiatives or owning major application components
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with Microsoft Azure
- Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
- Experience with modern CSS frameworks such as Tailwind, SASS, or LESS
- Experience writing unit and integration tests
- Experience mentoring junior developers or providing technical leadership
- Experience working within Agile development teams
