About the role

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will combine hands-on software development with technical leadership, helping to design, build, and evolve scalable, high-quality software solutions.

You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver business value while driving technical excellence across the team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver business value.
  • Provide technical leadership and support key architectural and technology decisions.
  • Contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to deployment and ongoing support.
  • Ensure high standards of code quality, reliability, performance, and security through engineering best practices.
  • Support modern development processes, including continuous integration, automated testing, and continuous delivery.
  • Mentor and support other engineers, encouraging collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
  • Drive continuous improvement of systems, processes, and engineering practices across the team.

What you'll bring

  • Extensive hands-on experience developing backend applications using Java and Kotlin.
  • Proven experience designing and building scalable, maintainable, and high-performing software solutions, including distributed systems and microservices architectures.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, engineering best practices, and modern design patterns.
  • Experience working with AWS and cloud-native technologies.
  • Familiarity withKafka
  • Familiarity with event-driven architecture and REST
  • Solid knowledge of modern software development practices, including automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions, make architectural decisions, and provide guidance on complex engineering challenges.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and supporting the technical growth of team members.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills, with experience working in Agile, cross-functional teams.
  • A pragmatic approach to software engineering, balancing technical excellence with business needs and delivery goals.
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
