This role is located on-site in Tucson, AZ, and offers a full‑time w‑2 or contract position with benefits that include Health, Dental, and Vision. Compensation is open to negotiation and based on the candidate’s experience and DOE.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and integrate object‑oriented software applications using C# and C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio on a Windows operating system.
- Prioritize and handle multiple software engineering tasks concurrently while troubleshooting software and test equipment instrumentation.
- Work in a multidisciplinary engineering team environment, developing and deriving requirements for software products.
- Typical requirement of a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience developing and integrating software applications using C++, C#, Java, Python, or Visual Basic.
- Proficiency with integrated development environments and debugging tools to troubleshoot software implementation and ensure product integrity.
- Knowledge of computer architecture, hardware optimization techniques, and software driver development for computer hardware interfaces.
- Familiarity with common computer hardware interface and data protocols such as TCP/IP or UDP.
- Knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (UML) to visualize software architecture and design.
- Understanding of software development lifecycles (Waterfall and Agile) and software configuration management principles.
Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required prior to the start date.
