Software Engineer III - Java / Spring Boot / AWS / Kubernetes
We are seeking a Software Engineer – Level 3 with a strong focus on Java, Spring Boot, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), Kubernetes, and distributed systems. This role will contribute to the design, development, and support of scalable, reliable, and mission‑critical enterprise applications within complex, multi‑technology environments. The ideal candidate is passionate about clean, maintainable code, modern engineering practices, and continuous improvement, and thrives in collaborative, agile teams delivering high‑quality software to production.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Java / Spring Boot microservices
- Design and support RESTful and event‑driven integrations (Kafka, SQS)
- Deploy and operate services in AWS/GCP using Docker and Kubernetes
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing, and automation
Qualifications
Candidates MUST reside in Mexico
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong Java and Spring Boot expertise
- Experience with AWS and/or GCP
- Hands‑on experience with Docker & Kubernetes
- Experience with RESTful microservices, JSON/XML (SOAP a plus)
- Familiarity with Kafka, SQS, or similar messaging systems
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Spanner, or NoSQL databases
- Solid OOP fundamentals and design patterns
- Retail or supply chain experience is a plus
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
