Their teams partner with government departments, financial services institutions, energy companies, major retailers, and other household-name enterprises to modernise services used by millions.
Salary range of £60,000 - £70,000 & £4k bonus.
The role will be mostly remote with very occasional office travel to client sites (likely to be 1/2x per month) to either London, Manchester, Newcastle, or Glasgow. You will be able to pick a location nearest to you.
As a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer, you’ll work on complex, high-visibility projects—building modern, scalable digital products that drive real business change. You’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and gain exposure to a wide variety of technologies, including Java, Spring Boot, Kotlin, Node.js, React, microservices, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
What We’re Looking For
Required
- 5 years commercial software engineering experience
- Strong experience building microservices with Java (Spring Boot)
- Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, including building front-end applications with React, HTML, and CSS
- Solid experience with Git and platforms like GitHub/GitLab
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Docker Compose
- Experience with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud environments
- Comfortable working within an agile delivery environment
Desirable
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform)
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred) or SQL such as Postgres
- Understanding of web standards, accessibility, and engineering best practices
