Requirements- Strong proficiency in C++ and multi-threaded development
- Working knowledge of Java development
- Self-motivated and able to independently drive development efforts
- Strong communication and team work skills
- Strong grasp of garbage collection and systems fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with OpenJDK is highly desirable
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new Java Virtual Machine garbage collection features and optimizations
- Collaborate with the OpenJDK community on potential contributions
- Work closely with the rest of the engineering team to review designs and ensure optimum JVM execution performance
