Experience Required: 2+ Years | Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer with 2+ years of hands-on experience in developing, testing, and maintaining firmware for embedded systems. The role requires strong knowledge of MCU-based product development, peripheral interfacing, RTOS-based design, and engineering tools used across the firmware lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, debug, and optimize embedded firmware for MCU-based systems.
  • Work with MCU peripherals and communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, ADC, PWM, and GPIO.
  • Develop and maintain firmware modules for real-time applications using RTOS concepts.
  • Perform board bring-up, peripheral driver integration, and hardware-software validation.
  • Analyze system behavior, troubleshoot issues, and improve firmware reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with hardware, validation, and cross-functional teams throughout the development cycle.
  • Use project tracking and engineering tools to manage tasks, defects, and technical documentation.
  • Create scripts and utilities in Python to support testing, automation, and data analysis activities.
  • Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in embedded firmware development.
  • Strong experience with microcontrollers and embedded C/C++ development.
  • Hands-on experience with MCU peripherals such as SPI, I2C, UART, timers, interrupts, and related interfaces.
  • Practical experience working with RTOS-based systems, task scheduling, synchronisation, and inter-task communication.
  • Experience using JIRA for task management and defect tracking.
  • Working knowledge of MATLAB for analysis, modeling, or test support.
  • Scripting experience in Python for automation, debugging, or tooling support.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in embedded environments.
  • Preferred Skills

  • Experience with board-level debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols and low-level device driver development.
  • Familiarity with firmware version control and structured development processes.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
