A talented Software Engineer to develop, test, and maintain embedded software solutions supporting sophisticated sensor and hardware systems. In this role, you will collaborate with software and hardware engineers to design new features, resolve technical issues, conduct system validation, and contribute to Agile development efforts. Key ResponsibilitiesEmbedded Software Development- Design, develop, implement, and maintain embedded software applications and system features.
- Enhance existing software functionality while ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and system issues.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of robust, efficient, and scalable software architectures.
- Conduct software integration and system testing using embedded processors, circuit boards, and associated hardware components.
- Validate software functionality through functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Analyze test results and identify root causes of hardware and software interactions.
- Support troubleshooting activities across software, firmware, and hardware environments.
- Participate actively in Agile and Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, hardware engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives.
- Contribute to effort estimation, task planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the successful delivery of customer commitments and project milestones.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for software designs, testing procedures, and implementation details.
- Follow established coding standards, development methodologies, and quality assurance practices.
- Participate in peer reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes.
- Ensure maintainability and long-term supportability of developed solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve software, integration, and system-level issues.
- Analyze performance, stability, and reliability concerns across embedded environments.
- Support product lifecycle activities including development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Work independently while effectively balancing multiple technical priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in embedded systems development.
- Knowledge of software engineering principles and software lifecycle processes.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience working in Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) environments.
- Knowledge of embedded communication protocols, including:
- SPI
- UART
- I2C
- Understanding of:
- Multithreading
- Network programming
- Experience integrating software with hardware systems and sensors.
- Familiarity with embedded system debugging and performance optimization.
